Delighted to announce that Rupeen Popat has joined the Zotus Board of Directors
Rupeen is the Eldest Son of Lord and Lady Popat of Harrow and has been married to Rupa Ganatra Popat since 2018. Rupeen feels proud and fortunate to be a listener and regular attendee of Ram Katha by Morari Bapu.
Rupeen has helped to organise and run a variety of cultural, religious, and entertainment events since he was a teenager until now. This included leading the Ram Katha by Morari Bapu project with the Vatican in 2014, which involved hosting 1,000 people over the course of nine days, housing them, and serving 27,000 plates of food. Rupeen’s most notable accomplishment was chairing a dialogue between Morari Bapu and the Vatican on how Christianity and Hinduism can work more closely together as religions. This historic occasion marked the first time in history that the Vatican permitted a non-Catholic event to take place there.
Rupeen typically contributes his time and resources to two of these global events per year (3 weeks), some in the UK where there are 10,000 attendees per day and some in more exotic locations that require a great deal more operational thought and effort, such as the highest points in the Himalayas, Jerusalem, the Amazon Rainforest, and the Jordanian Desert.
Rupeen’s Major background is Hotel Hospitality, Property Investment, in particular building portfolios for clients and development which has ranged over the last 12 years. He has fulfilled a range of senior roles including General Manager with IHG London Stratford in the build up to the Olympics and Prior to that was the Front Desk Manager at the World’s Largest Holiday Inn. He had been a Director of Visionary Finance and Visionary Property Management from 2011 before taking more of a full-time role on with Bright Little Stars Group since 2017. During this time Rupeen built up a significant property portfolio providing stable passive income. he was and is a firm believer in practicing what one preaches. Rupeen accredits his teaching in these specialist matters to Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad and to Asset Academy Training in association with Robert Kiyosaki.
In 2012, Rupeen co-founded and serves as Managing Director of the Bright Little Stars Group. Rupeen’s goal was to create a Group that parents would be proud to say their child attends, as well as children who were happy. Rupeen’s property and operational experience enabled him to create the most prestigious and award-winning Nurseries in North West London. He used his hospitality experience to make staff feel at ease while pushing them to provide the best care possible. He assisted in the development of an employee appraisal and development programme that was implemented at BLS in order to fairly reward employees and reduce staff turnover. It’s been a huge success. Since 2020 VAC Ventures was Cofounded by Rupeen and Rupa Popat, VAC Ventures is a developer, operator and investment company, specialising in UK Hotel and Residential Property.
