Official City Hall Stage Presentation | 2025 Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayors’ Forum  Expo City Dubai

“Transforming Regional Trade and Connectivity through the Trans Kalahari Corridor”

Zotus City stands at the heart of Southern Africa’s transformation.
Anchored on 4,200 hectares in Ghanzi, Botswana, this USD 50 billion smart city and Special Economic Zone is reshaping how Africa connects with Asia and the Middle East.

Modelled after Dubai’s integrated urban framework, Zotus City unites energy, logistics, aviation, digital innovation and tourism into one sustainable ecosystem. The development is led by the Government of Botswana, the Botswana Investment & Trade Centre, and the Trans-Kalahari Corridor Secretariat, with master planning by BIG (Denmark) and Surbana Jurong (Singapore).

From a 300 MW solar plant and regional water pipeline to an AI-driven data centre and Zotus City Airlines, every component is designed to power inclusive growth and regional integration. The project will generate over 60,000 jobs and position Botswana as the logistics and innovation capital of the SADC region.

Endorsed by global ambassadors Didier Drogba and Emile Heskey, and advised by King & Spalding LLP, Zotus City exemplifies Africa’s new model of visionary, faith-driven urban development where sustainability meets opportunity.
