Zotus City to Unveil Global Vision at Pula Global Expo 2025
Flagship smart city in Botswana backed by world-renowned architects, global law firms, and international ambassadors set to redefine Africa’s urban future
Gaborone, Botswana 29 September 2025
The Zotus Group Smart City initiative is gaining significant momentum in Botswana. Following years of engagement since 2019 in areas of smart agriculture, technology, and sustainability, early discussions have evolved into the bold vision of Zotus City Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Smart City in the Kalahari Desert, a development designed to position Botswana as a global hub for innovation, trade, tourism and sustainable growth.
At the World Economic Forum 2025, the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) facilitated a bilateral meeting between His Excellency Adv Duma Boko the President of the Republic of Botswana and Zotus Group. During this engagement, Zotus presented a comprehensive proposal for Zotus City. The initiative will integrate smart agriculture, logistics, renewable energy, aviation, and tourism within a unified smart city framework, at no financial cost to the Government.
